Below you will find help for some of the special members pages, if you are still struggling to do something after reading the below then get in touch with the web team via email. >click here< for the address.

LOGGING IN



The boxs above in red are mandatory and if you dont fill these boxs in you wont be able to login:

Lancs Membership No - This is the number you were given when you joined the club. If you are unsure on your membership number then please >click here< and follow the instructions to obtain your membership number.

Email Address - This is the email address you provided to us when you joined the club. Again if you are insure on which email address you provided us >click here< and follow the instructions.

Login - There isnt actually anything for you to fill in here, but once you have entered your Membership No and Email address you need to click this button.

The box in blue is not mandatory and is an optional box.

Remember Me - If you put a tick in this box then next time you visit the lancs site you wont have to entered you details again. If you dont enter a tick into this box then each time you logon to the web site, you will have to login to be able to see the members only features.

LOGGING IN PROBLEMS



If you receive the same empty box's again after you have clicked the 'login' button then there has been an error. This could be a couple of things:

1. You can have entered the incorrect details:

* The Lancs Membership No and the Email Address have to match the details that we have stored for you, otherwise you will not be able to login.
* Check the spelling in your email address, if you have spelt it incorrectly you wont be able to login.

2. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to login.

If you think that you have put all of your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still un able to login then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

LOGGED IN SUCCESSFULLY

Once you have logged in successfully then you should see an extra menu in place of the login bar like the below screen shot:

The above bar has all the extra members only options on it.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS

When you click on one of the links the below box will appear:

If you would like to just open the newsletter and look at it the click the 'Open' button as in red. If you would like to download and save the newsletter to read at a future date, then click the 'Save' button as in blue. You will then have to enter a name and location to save the file on your PC. Once you have saved it, it will then be avaliable in that location to read at anytime you wish.

SUBMIT NEWS

Fill all of the box's in on the form and click submit, your news will then be submitted and once a member of the web team has checked it, it will be posted on the site. If you receive the same page again then there has been an error, which could be a couple of things:

1. You can have entered the incorrect details:

* The First Name, Surname and the Email Address have to match the details that we have stored for you, otherwise you will not be able to submit news.
* Check the spelling in your email address, if you have spelt it incorrectly you wont be able to submit news.
* We might have your name spelt incorrectly in our records, if you think that this is the case get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

2. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to submit news.

If you think that you have put all of your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still un able to submit news then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

SUBMIT YOUR CAR INSTRUCTIONS

When you click on submit car for the first time the below screen will open, you will be asked to enter some details about your car. This can be whatever you like...... the spec of the car, what you have done to it, what you intend to do to it etc...

Once you have entered your information, click submit:

After you click submit it will take you to a screen that looks like below:

You next need to click the browse button. On clicking the browse button a new window will open, you need to then browse to the location of the pictures on your PC:

Select the photo that you would like to upload so that it is highlighted and its name appears in the 'file name' box then click open.

This will then take you back a screen and the box will then have the path where the file is located in it, like the below:

Click submit and this should then give you a message to say that the file has been uploaded:

You will now see a new option as well, 'Use as index picture?'. This means that if you select this option when you next upload another picture it will be the small picture that is used in the main 'cars' area. To see an example of this, click on the members cars link in the menu bar above, then click on cars. There are a number of members cars there with a single picture of each car. That is the index picture. You can change your index picture, so if you change your mind on which picture you want to use, then this can be altered (this is explained below in the 'Edit Your Car' stage).

To uploade more picutres, just do the same as the above until you have all the pictures uploaded that you would like.

NOTE: Pictures will not be shown straight after you click the submit button, these are first checked by a member of the webteam before they are avaliable to be viewed on the website.

PROBLEMS SUBMITING YOUR CAR

If you receive the same page again then there has been an error, which could be a couple of things:

1. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to submit pictures of your car.

If you think that you have put your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still un able to submit pictures of your car then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

2. Make sure that the files that you have selected to be uploaded as pictures are actually pictures and not for example word documents with pictures in them. The files need to be the pictures themselves, e.g. a .jpg file is the main file type for a picture.

EDIT YOUR CAR

When you click the 'Edit Your Car' link you will see a screen like the below:

This should show all the pictures that you have submitted of your car, the text that you wrote about your car and the car model you drive.

If you would to delete a picture, change your index picture or change any text then do the below:

Deleteing - For deleting pictures, just pic a tick in each box under the image that you would like to delete and press 'Submit Image Changes'.

Index Picture - To change your index picture, just put a 'dot' in 'Set as index' picture under the picture you would like it to be and press 'Submit Image Changes'. NOTE: You can only have 1 index picture.

Change Text - To change text, just delete out what you dont want and put the new text in. Make sure that you dont delete anything that you didnt write in the first place, e.g. if there are some '<br />' bits in then leave those where they are.

TOWNELEY SHOW SUGGESTIONS

Fill all of the box's in on the form and click submit, your suggestion will then be sent to the Towneley Show Co-Ordinator. If you receive the same page again then there has been an error, which could be a couple of things:

1. You can have entered the incorrect details:

* The First Name, Surname and the Email Address have to match the details that we have stored for you, otherwise you will not be able to submit a suggestion.
* Check the spelling in your email address, if you have spelt it incorrectly you wont be able to submit a suggestion.
* We might have your name spelt incorrectly in our records, if you think that this is the case get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

2. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to submit a suggestion.

If you think that you have put all of your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still un able to submit a suggestion then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address..

ADD GARAGE

Fill all of the box's in on the form and click submit, your information will then bu submitted and once a member of the web team has checked it, the garage will be added on to the site. If you receive the same page again then there has been an error, which could be a couple of things:

1. You can have entered the incorrect details:

* The First Name, Surname and the Email Address have to match the details that we have stored for you, otherwise you will not be able to add a garage.
* Check the spelling in your email address, if you have spelt it incorrectly you wont be able to add a garage.
* We might have your name spelt incorrectly in our records, if you think that this is the case get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

2. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to add a garage.

If you think that you have put all of your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still unable to add a garage then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

MAKE RECOMMENDATION

Fill all of the box's in on the form and click submit, your recommendation will then be submitted and once a member of the web team has checked it, it will be posted on the site. If you receive the same page again then there has been an error, which could be a couple of things:

1. You can have entered the incorrect details:

* The First Name, Surname and the Email Address have to match the details that we have stored for you, otherwise you will not be able to make a recommendation.
* Check the spelling in your email address, if you have spelt it incorrectly you wont be able to make a recommendation.
* We might have your name spelt incorrectly in our records, if you think that this is the case get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

2. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to make a recommendation.

If you think that you have put all of your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still un able to make a recommendation then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

SOCIAL EVENTS SUGGESTIONS

Fill all of the box's in on the form and click submit, your suggestion will then be sent to the Chairman for him to bring it up at the next Lancs Meeting. If you receive the same page again then there has been an error, which could be a couple of things:

1. You can have entered the incorrect details:

* The First Name, Surname and the Email Address have to match the details that we have stored for you, otherwise you will not be able to submit a suggestion.
* Check the spelling in your email address, if you have spelt it incorrectly you wont be able to submit a suggestion.
* We might have your name spelt incorrectly in our records, if you think that this is the case get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.

2. There could be a problem with the system that is not allowing you to submit a suggestion.

If you think that you have put all of your details in correctly and have done everything right but are still un able to submit a suggestion then get in touch with the web team via email >click here< for the address.
